In order to restart our Walks Programme again there have had to be strict limitations to ensure that we follow the current government regulations.
As of April 12th the essential restrictions are:
- The total number of walkers in a walk must not exceed six.
- Walkers (except for households) must maintain the two metre separation at all times.
- It is hoped that some pubs will start to serve lunch outdoors, walkers will be advised when booking in.
To Attend a walk
The details of the next two weeks of walk will appear on the Mid Herts Footpaths Society website at least a week before they are scheduled.
Members interested in the Long Walks and Sunday Walks should phone Peter Cleasby on 07810 774094 to reserve a space on the walk. Wednesday Short Walkers should ring Howard Norfolk on 07768 703201.
Walkers are asked not to park in Pub Car Parks if the pub is not open for lunch.
If you cannot join the walk, please inform the leader as soon as possible as it is likely there are others that can take your place.
All leaders have strict instructions to send walkers away if they have not booked. Please do not create problems for the leader and make things unpleasant.
The Government roadmap suggests that regulations will change on May 17th. Please watch the website to see how the Society will respond.
